Substantial Technology Project — Finish it if possible. Technology Presentation — Be prepared for next week. (This is one sixth of your grade.) D2L Dropbox Technology I Have — Create a 3rd (and final) set of "How To" instructions. (See the 3rd bullet of week 2.) Place your instructions in the D2L Dropbox "How To #3". MuseScore — Open your Bach Air on a G String and extract one part. Save. Place the file in the D2L Dropbox "Extract Parts". (Handbook) Audacity — Create a multi-track recording and place it in the D2L Dropbox "Multi-track Recording". (Manual) Final Exam Read How to Prevent Distortion and How to Eliminate Feedback. Be able to explain what distortion and feedback are and how they can be minimized or eliminated. Read Directional Properties of microphones. Remember omnidirectional, cardioid and bidirectional. Skim Microphone Impedance. — Remember that low impedance microphones are usually preferred to high impedance. However, the latter are less expensive. Read at least the left hand column of What You Need to Know About MOOCs. Be able to describe a MOOC for the final exam. (Pronunciation—What does the cow say?) Coursera Music, Film and Audio courses shows you a sample of several music MOOCs. D2L Discuss (Pithy please.) Virtual Instruments and EMI assignment. Videos! — Watch several Music Videos and offer your own favorite(s) and a brief comment about how you may use them in your teaching at D2L Discuss "Music Videos". Peruse last week's D2L Discuss posts for new ideas. ("Music Learning Materials", "Free Sheet Music" and "Videos about Music") Peruse either Special Characters — Alt Keyboard Sequences (Windows) or How to type accents, emoji, and symbols on your Mac - Apple Support.
