In Semester 4, your sight-reading grade is either Quiz 2 or Quiz 3 based upon the rubric below.
Exemplary (grade of A) Able to maintain a steady tempo. Notes and rhythms accurate throughout the example. Student is able to observe expressive markings in the score.
Proficient (B or C) Mostly steady tempo with few note and rhythm inaccuracies. Student exhibits difficulty incorporating expressive markings in the score.
Below Proficient  (D or F) Unable to maintain steady tempo and/or exhibits many note and rhythm errors. Expressive markings are ignored or played incorrectly.
