Beethoven's 5th Symphony, 4th Movement Melodic Dictation

The first movement of Beethoven's 5th symphony is famous. After you complete this assignment, you will be familiar with the last movement. Please do your own work.

On a blank sheet of paper, dictate the opening melody of the 4th movement of Beethoven's 5th symphony using numbers or syllables. Allow space to add rhythms later.

The first 3 pitches are very easy.
The first 9 pitches are easy.
In fact, the first 15 pitches are not difficult.
For a challenge, dictate the first 27 pitches. (Do as much as you can.)

Next, dictate the rhythm above your numbers or syllables. The first 2 notes are half notes. The rhythm is easy at first. (Do as much as you can.)

Finally, add a time signature and barlines to your rhythm dictation.
